Will CBD Oil Get You High?
It’s a shame that some people avoid CBD treatments purely because they think it might cause a high. Luckily, if you’re reading this, we might be able to root out some misconceptions surrounding this simple plant-based compound. So, Will CBD Oil Get You High? No. Read on to find out more.

Can CBD Oil Get You High?
The short answer? No, CBD itself can’t get you high.
And the long answer? It depends. Though CBD can’t get you high, any CBD Oil that contains more than trace amounts of THC could yield a psychoactive effect.
Different Types Of CBD Oil
There are three primary types of CBD Oil: isolate, full spectrum, broad spectrum, and isolate. Depending on the way that CBD is extracted from the cannabis plant, it’s concentrations of cannabinoids, terpenes, plant oils, and flavonoids may be different.
CBD Isolate is the purest form of the compound cannabidiol, which is made from isolating CBD from every other plant byproduct and active ingredient. These products contain absolutely 0.0 percent THC concentration, meaning there is physiologically no capacity for you to get high.
By contrast, both CBD Broad and Full Spectrum contains the active compounds natural to the plant, which could include any number of cannabinoids, active ingredients, and essential oils.
However, CBD Broad Spectrum is certified to have less than 0.3 percent THC concentration. Similarly to isolate, it’s impossible to get high off of a broad spectrum-based solution.
Lastly, CBD Full Spectrum may have more than 0.3 percent THC concentration. In the United States, all legal full spectrum products can only be found in dispensaries of participating states.
In short, CBD Oil will not get you high, unless you go out of your way to find a CBD full spectrum product with a high amount of THC.
Does CBD Mitigate The Marijuana High?
Not only does CBD itself not get you high, research claims that the compound might actually work to negate a marijuana high. Studies have shown that CBD reduces the ability of THC to bind to active cannabinoid receptors in the brain, which is the primary area where THC acts.
